Sometimes the length of the translated text has to be restricted (E.g. Length of a Tweet).
XLIFF the localization industry standard interchange format supports an optional attribute maxwidth. http://docs.oasis-open.org/xliff/v1.2/os/xliff-core.html#maxwidth
Cloudwords interprets this attribute when populated to refer to the number of maximum characters that can be defined for a particular target translation unit. OneReview enforces this interpretation when a user is editing a particular segment.
- The user will not be able to type or edit beyond the number of maximum characters.(No message displayed).
- The user can copy and paste text. If its greater than maxwidth then copy and paste will not be allowed.
- If the translated text from a LSP has exceeded the maxWidth then an error message will be displayed.
