One Review: Overview

Cloudwords One Review enables multiple reviewers to view, provide feedback and edit translated content within the context of its final format – whether it's an email, newsletter, landing page, word document or web page.

The full screen One Review interface is broken into three sections:

  • Toolbar.

  • In-Context Preview. This in-context section allows reviewers view the translation just like it would be laid out in its final format so that the reviewer has the context of the source layout. For example, a translated e-mail stored in Marketo will appear exactly like it would to the e-mail recipient – users are able to see how it’s laid out, and when they edit the copy, they’ll see exactly how text changes will affect the layout of the document – in context, in real-time.

  • Line-by-line. The line-by-line interface shows the source text and translated text side-by-side so that reviewers can easily compare source text versus the translated text.

The reviewer has primarily two different review options based on their permissions. By default, reviewers can edit translations. However, admins can disable editing capabilities:

  • Provide Feedback. This allows the reviewer to send feedback to the vendor and the vendor will make the changes based on the reviewer feedback.

  • Edit Translation. This allows the reviewer to directly edit the translations in Cloudwords.

Providing Feedback

Reviewers can provide feedback to the translator who will make the changes based on the feedback. Clicking on “Provide Feedback” navigates the line-by-line to the selected text with a comment box where the reviewer can leave feedback.

Alternatively, reviewers can select the feedback icon in the line-by-line review.

Editing a Translation

Reviewers can edit the translations by simply highlighting the text and selecting “edit translation”. The line-by-line interface will then automatically navigate to the selected text with a text box editor where the reviewer can edit the translations. The edits made are rendered in real-time so that the reviewer can visually see the edits in the in-content view.

Alternatively, reviewers can select the feedback icon in the line-by-line review.

Submitting a review

Upon clicking on “Submit Review”, the reviewer can choose between:

  • Revision Request. This option will send the feedback to the vendor who will make the changes and then send back another version of translations for review.

  • Approve. This option will send the feedback to the vendor who will make the changes so that the translation memory is updated. The reviewer does not get another version of translations to review.
